Originally based in Villeurbanne, it was in 1936 that Barthélémy JABOULEY decided to move to Saint-André-Le-Gaz as a manufacturer of tulle, veil hats and hair nets.
In the 1950s, the end of the veil fashion pushed his son, Fernand JABOULEY, to a reconversion and led him to offer Leavers Lace with the same mesh machines (better known as the “Dentelle de Calais”).
With the technical evolution of the 1960s, the factory gradually equips itself with Raschel machines, more modern and productive. In the 1980s, the old Leavers machines are definitely stopped. In 1985, the
company launched the very first electronic jacquard KARL MAYER machine at Saint-André-le-Gaz production site.

From the years 1990-2000, the company integrates into its workshops several electronic machines of new generation, whose productivity makes it possible to meet a growing demand coming from new markets.
The capacity of its machines also contributes to the development of large stocks, both in grege or dyed. In this way, the company JABOULEY is able to respond favorably and quickly to the standardized or personalized requests of its customers.
Since then, the company plans to invest regularly in the modernization of its machines, to sustain the quality of its lace, while offering each season, many new models.
